Husk Distillers

Rum distillery and cellar door
Designed 2011–2016
Completed 2019

A boutique distillery on a sugar cane farm beside the Tweed River, where Husk grows the cane for its rum. Brick gables, arched windows and a deep verandah give a working distillery the welcome of a farm homestead.

From cane to bottle
Distillery, bottling hall and cellar door under one set of roofs, with a crusher shed for the farm's own cane.
Made for visitors
A cellar door, commercial kitchen and amenities for tastings and tours, opening onto the verandah and lawns.
Planned to grow
A staged master plan, first drawn by hand in 2011, sets the distillery, visitor centre and future buildings along the ridge.
Visit Husk Distillers ↗The cellar door is open to visitors at 1152 Dulguigan Road, North Tumbulgum.
